LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT

The day of the LORD, the Tribulation… the time period when The Almighty God’s actions will prepare the earth and the world of mankind for the Kingship of His mighty son!

How will we know when this time period begins? In view of what everyone seems to be saying during this coronavirus pandemic, the words of the apostle Paul to the sons of light are ringing true to form.

At 1st Thessalonians 5:2 Paul addresses the sons of light. “For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the LORD will come like a thief in the night.”

It’s quite evident the sons of light are very few in number. Whether you’re listening to religious leaders and their followers, the news media, politicians or the general public, no one connects the current world pandemic to God’s actions. Complete unawareness and highly indifferent attitudes are prevalent world-wide, despite the bible’s prophecies about pestilences and plagues changing the world when the day of the LORD begins! (Revelation 18:3-8 & 22-24)

Anyone who has read the bible should know that the details of this Day are a constant theme throughout. During God’s fear-inspiring day, every unrighteous entity on earth will experience the hand of The Almighty God! All of the many unrighteous activities that men put before God will be wiped out, as God prepares the world for His son’s eternal rule of His promised Kingdom! (Luke 1:33)

After explaining Nebuchadnezzar’s image that represented the generations of men’s kingdoms of worship, the wise prophet Daniel confirmed God’s Kingdom at Daniel 2:44.

“And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”

This is the Kingdom Jesus told us to pray for. “Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Even though this prayer is known by all, do people actually think about what it’s saying? Is God’s Kingdom really looked to as the solution to the world’s many problems? Do men’s churches teach their people that the coming of God’s Kingdom will cause His will to be done on earth? Actually, they seldom if ever, even mention it. As Amos 5:23 & Micah 3:11 point out, they are much more concerned with singing songs, money collections and telling their people not to worry about anything, God will take care of us.

“Take away from Me the noise of your songs, for I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments.”

“Her heads judge for a bribe, her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the LORD, and say, “Is not the LORD among us? No harm can come upon us.”

These prophetic scriptures are very revealing! The soothing ear-tickling talk heard from today’s altars reassures people that God would never do anything harmful. They are saying nothing about the fear-inspiring day of the LORD, which is exactly why it will slip upon this unsuspecting world like a thief in the night!

It’s very true that God loves us all and wishes all would become sons of light. However, if we keep naively singing along, paying the preachers of this world, and continue thinking God would never do any harm… we had better not forget some of His actions in the past!

Remember the flood in Noah’s day, only 8 were saved. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah, only 3 were saved. Remember the 185,000 of Sennacherib’s army killed in one night. Before all of these destructive actions, God gave warnings and chances, identically as He is doing in our day.

Take heed of Isaiah’s prophecy in chapter 34.

“Draw near, O nations, to hear, and give attention, O peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that fills it; the world, and all that comes from it. For the LORD is enraged against all the nations!”                                                                                                                                                                                                             Let’s take God’s Word to heart in these perilous days, not men’s! Let’s keep the thoughts of God’s Kingdom within us, as Jesus said, and stay aware of God’s actions! and…

LET’S BE ON THE WATCH FOR THAT THIEF IN THE NIGHT!!!!
